Actually, that makes them sound like they're struggling.

We even shared our tickets to do so. Haha :)

PHILIPPINE IMPROVEMENT GROUP

was having a fundraiser there.

That alone was great :) 

Then when we got there, we ran into

COLE & RYAN

(they're three of the people I'm going to the PHILIPPINES with)

It was an

ABSOLUTE BLAST!

and from what I hear, the fundraiser was a major success!

REWIND

to about

1-1/2 YEARS AGO

(Maybe a little more)

I was at work when 

JINGER 

walked in with her newest purchase for our library.

Had I ever heard of them before?

NOPE, NEVER.

But from what HER and SAVANNA started saying about them,

I WAS GONNA HAVE TO READ THEM!

A few days later, 

when the first one was free, 

I slipped off the jacket and started reading it.

Then the second one.

Then the third. 

No making fun, but this is how my FUN DAYS @ SEA were spent on our cruise :)

Yeah, it's MOCKING JAY haha

But hey, 

THAT'S WHAT GOT MY DAD READING IT. 

HE LOVED IT!

So when they announced 

THIS:

it was settled.

WE WERE GOING TO THE MIDNIGHT SHOWING! 

(if you know my dad, you know that's kind of a big deal. He HATES theaters!)

The day tickets came out, 

I may or may not have used my break to go sit in my car, on my laptop 

to order our tickets. 

It really could have waited 'til after work

except for one thing. 

We wanted D-BOX SEATS.

(aka super limited seats)

and that's what we got :)

After I got out of class, 

I headed over to my parents place. 

Dad and I grabbed some KNEADERS,

went to MEGAPLEX to print off our tickets,

and then went over to LAURIE & BOB'S to pick up 

BOB and MEGAN.

The theater had assigned seating too.

AKA no waiting in line! 

So we got to sit there and people watch and the people who wish they belonged to the capital

HAHA 

It was so great :)

The movie, I'm not gonna lie,

IT WASN'T MY FAVORITE.

I think it may have had to do more with the D-BOX seats though. 

Set that aside and 

ALL IN ALL, IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT :) 

LoNGBoaRDiNG PT. 2

After TIFF and her KIDS left

ELiZA and I

found ourselves on the couch.

It was pitiful really,

because

IT WAS SO NICE OUTSIDE!

That's when we had an idea.

LONGBOARDING!

We were able to talk 

KAESI 

into it even though she was oh so sore.

(I might have had to bribe her with food)

RYAN

did what he does best;

SKIPPED OUT ON CLASS. 

(that's how CALIFORNIA happened too.. haha)



IT WAS A BLAST!
and maybe just a little bit colder than we'd anticipated..
BUT I LOVED IT NONE THE LESS
and ALWAYS WILL.

They're my cousin's kids.

Well, different cousin, but still :)

I ALSO LOVE THESE KIDS TO DEATH!

For the first time since having the little guy, TIFF was going back on set to work with her MADRE.

Both of them just so happened to be having their receptions,

 on the same night. 

One in

SALT LAKE.

The other in

HIGHLAND.

Katelyn wanted to play,

but there was no way I was going to miss these receptions.

So she came with me instead :)

She knew MACY and JOSH, so it wasn't completely against the rules. haha. 

FIRST: WE WENT TO JOSH AND MACY'S RECEPTION.

Can I just say how much I love those two!

MACY= the greatest roomate! 

JOSH = just straight up fantastic!

THEM TOGETHER = PERFECT!!!

THEN: WE WENT TO MICHELLE AND STEVE'S RECEPTION.

They are also great!

I don't really know STEVE, but MICHELLE is such a hoot to work with! 

I'm so happy for them!  

This is where things get funny though.

Since Katelyn didn't know Steve and Michelle at all,

SHE WAS OFFICIALLY WEDDING CRASHING!

No IF's, AND's or BUT's about it!

But wait, it gets better! 

It's hard to see, but 

ZAC WAS EVEN ABLE TO COME TO!!

KATELYN CROSSED SOMETHING OFF HER BUCKET LIST

ZAC EFRON CAME TO MICHELLE'S WEDDING

(even though we made him stay in the car)

HAHA

WE EVEN HAD TIME TO SEE

 with CALEB afterwards.

 Talk about a good movie!

So naturally we (+ MoM & KaeS) decided we'd make a day of it.

After talking to Jeff, I mad my way to the

HEALTH CENTER

and met up with the rest of the fam.

Boring stuff first, FUN stuff later.

KAESI made it way not boring 

by making creepy faces 

while holding a picture of her BF

while TAYLOR and I took turns talking to the Nurse. 

Don't worry, she knows she's weird ;)

Then it was off to the MaLL.

Hence the job quitting in the last post. 
I am SOOOO excited!!

Even if it means wearing these SUPER CUTE RED POLOS all summer long!

So I decided that meant I should definitely buy some new shoes and accessories to go with them :)

That's completely reasonable, right?

Especially since it's the month before my birthday.
I thought so.

went to the other DOCTOR to get my 

HEP A SHOT,

and called it a day.

I don't think Taylor has ever shopped so long in his life.

Just a HEADS UP, this post will probably be pretty LONG. 

But read on and enjoy anyways :)

Just over TWO YEARS AGO, I was down in PROVO visiting my sister. 

I had been looking for a job for a couple months, 

and really didn't want to go back to 

AEROPOSTALE. 

Well on my way home that day, 

I drove past the same building I had passed several times before. 

What I really wanted was a job in 

Health Care. 

This was a 

Reception Center.

Or so I thought. 

There was nothing to loose, so 

without much thought, I went inside to see what this place was about.

I walked in the door, still trying to figure out what this place was.

That's when 

FRED 

walked out of his office and asked if he could help me.

"What is this place?"

He went on to tell me about it, and what they did there. 

POST SURGICAL REHAB: PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY & 24/7 NURSING CARE. 

It was exactly the kind of job I was looking for!

(not to mention it was the NICEST Nursing Home-type building I had ever seen)

"So, are you guys hiring?"

Before I knew it, I was on the couch filling out my application.

Then I was turning it in. 

Then I was in Fred's office interviewing.

(literally though, i hadn't even left the building before all of this happened)

After we finished, I met 

JEFF, 

the Director of Nursing.

THREE DAYS LATER 

MaRCH 15, 2010

I HAD A JOB!!

and for future posterity's sake, I called them when they offered me the job :) 

I started off on the PM shift.

Occasionally I would work a graveyard shift, but it was rare. 

Then I started picking up a Morning Shift here and there. 

Within a couple months, I was half AM/half PM.

Then all of a sudden I was 

ALL MORNINGS, 

FULL TIME.

Fast forward TWO YEARS, and a WHOLE LOT has happened. 

The girls I have worked with quickly became some of my

BEST FRIENDS. 

NOT BECAUSE WE SPEND ALL OUR TIME AWAY FROM WORK TOGETHER, 

although we have been known to do that from time to time.

Oh well, we like it :) 

What I was saying though, is that 

they are like my best friends because 

we all know way more about each other than we want to.

I blame it on the nature of our work.
Not much phases as person when you do the work a CNA does.  

Aside from the AMAZING PEOPLE I work with, 

this place has been the ABSOLUTE BEST company to work for! 

 They sure have it right that when you treat your employees right, they'll treat your customers right. 

From weekly STAFF LUNCHES, 

to monthly MEETINGS 

(complete with prizes, everytime)

Yeah, we put out fires at our last meeting :)

I'll admit it,

and again in 2011. After making 15 t-shirts, I'm going to say it's probably everyone's favorite :)

Wanna know a secret,

and one of my favorite parts about this job?

95% of the time 

we think we are far more funny than we really are

(and they still haven't fired any of us for it

or even cut any of our hours for that matter). 

:) 

Like the time we switched all the highlighters on April Fools Day.

OR

the time we replaced all of Jeff and Jinger's family pictures with pictures of us. 

WHO DOESN'T WANT TO WORK AT A PLACE WHERE YOU HAVE 

FAR TO MUCH FUN?

I couldn't finish this post though without saying something about all the amazing patients that have come through.
THEY HAVE TAUGHT ME, LAUGHED WITH ME, PUT UP WITH ME, AND EVEN PRETENDED LIKE THEY LIKED MY ACTIVITIES :) haha
There are a few that have really made a significant impact on my life.
Even though I may not always show it,
I'm grateful for every last one of them, and the lessons they've helped me learn.

NOW FOR THE WRAP UP.

It's

MaRCH 15, 2012. 

(Ironic that it was exactly 2 years after my starting date?) 

I walked in on my day off, and "calmly" paced around the building,

WAITING FOR JEFF TO GET A FREE MINUTE. 

I finally caught him in the hallway and spilled it all. 

AFTER MY TRIP TO THE PHILIPPINES,

I WOULDN'T BE COMING BACK :( 

Can I say how grateful I am for such an understanding boss? 

Seriously! 

Not only was he supportive of my decision, 

but 

he was more encouraging than I ever thought someone in that situation would be!

Did I mention we have more people quitting in the next few months that we have staying?

Then he said if I'm around in the fall, the job is still mine :) 

DID I MENTION I WORK FOR THE BEST COMPANY EVER?

I felt terrible for doing it, but I knew it was the right thing to do.

And I'll say it again,

4. JaZZ GaMe

DISCLAIMER:

a LOT has happened this week.

That being said, 

 I may or may not post 2-3 more posts today or tomorrow. 

STARTING WITH

THE JAZZ GAME

First:

 I can honestly say, I work for THE BEST COMPANY. 

(I'll write more about them in one of the 2-3 posts mentioned above)

For now just know that 

THeY SPoiL US RoTTeN. 

Every year they get several sets of 

JaZZ SeaSoN TiCKeTS

Then throughout the year, 

they divvy them out between the employees. 

So after I got off work on Monday

KaeSi & I 

drove up to Salt Lake.

We were both starving,

so naturally we stopped at

WENDY'S. 

(I know get free frosty's for the rest of the year!)

Then we parked in this lot that I'm pretty sure no one knew existed.

It was empty, and surprisingly pretty close! 

We may have been a few minutes late, 

but oh well.

Because of it, we randomly ran into LANCE!

SHy & CaSeY,

they got tickets too :) 

The game was close the whole time. 

In fact, they were back and forth the whole time.

But in the end, 

WE WON!

Confetti fell from the rafters.

So exciting :)

PeRFeCT WeaTHeR + SPRiNG BReaK = a PeRFeCT SaTuRDAY

This semester my SaTuRDaYS have gone one of two ways. 

Option 1:

8:00-10:30: Nutrition

(Yep, Saturday classes. At least I have a great teacher)

The Rest of the Day: I do whatever comes my way.

THiS iS BY FaR My FaVoRiTe oPTioN.

Option 2:

8:00-10:30: Nutrition

10:30-1:30: Random errands, occasional adventurous outings.

Such as LoWe's X-TReMe aiRSPoRTS last week. So FuN!!!

Then.. 2:00-10:30: Work. 

My JoB = FaNTaSTiC!! FuN PeoPLe, GReaT PLaCe, and SuPeR FLeXiBLe. 

They even let me go to church every week :D

For that, I am 

So GRaTeFuL!

Given the choice though,

WouLDN'T YoU RaTHeR PLaY aLL DaY Too?

That's what I thought :) 

THiS WeeKeND =  OPTION #2

That being said though, this is what the weather usually does:

Since I was going to work, 

and it just so happened to be the nicest day we've had since last AuGuST,

I was determined to 

PLaY iN THe SuN

before I went in.

So I DiD!

I HiT THe CaNYoN WiTH BReNNoN & My LoNGBoaRD

(For the first time this year)

It was so much fun!
If you don't longboard, you should!

There will definitely be a lot more of those to follow this SuMMeR :)

2nd:
I MeT UP WiTH aLeXa & KYRa @ NieLSoN'S GRoVe

We found 

BuNNieS.

Lots of them :) 

I wish animals would just stay little forever.

Then I may be more inclined to get one.

All in all, it was a 
FANTASTIC
Saturday.
